This talk walks through the complete journey of setting up a 3-node k3s cluster on Raspberry Pis using DietPi as the base OS, tackling real-world challenges like resource optimization, networking, and storage constraints.

We’ll cover essential Kubernetes fundamentals applied to edge and low-cost environments, including cluster bootstrapping, workload scheduling, and best practices for managing microservices on limited hardware. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to implement production-grade observability using Grafana and open-source tools without breaking the budget.
