Speakers

Usman is a Staff Developer Advocate at Grafana Labs from Nuremberg, Germany. He works with the Open Source community on the community forum, GitHub and Slack. He has over 15 years of experience in IT and in Cloud Support where he served multiple customers all over Europe, US, Japan, etc. He is an active international public speaker participating in multiple conferences and events. In his free time, Usman likes to spend time with his family, go out on occasional traveling and play games or read comics.

Stefano works as an MLOps Consultant and helps companies design modern MLOps strategies using open-source and cloud-native tools. He co-leads the Kubeflow ML Experience Working Group and previously managed Canonical’s AI/ML products.

⁠The hidden complexity of running AI at scale - a Cloud Native landscape overview

What does AI have to do with cloud native infrastructure? In this talk we will cover the hidden complexity behind building and operating AI systems in cloud native environments. We’ll explore how medium and large enterprises are adopting CNCF tools and patterns for their data workflows and model deployment pipelines. We will take a look at the evolving CNCF landscape of AI-related projects, working groups, and initiatives. We will conclude with practical insights from real-world implementations, highlighting best practices and common pitfalls when bringing AI from research to production
