Kubernetes provides a powerful foundation for AI infrastructure, but building an AI platform still means assembling a fragmented ecosystem around low-level primitives. How can we rethink the control plane and orchestration abstractions to hide that complexity while supporting heterogeneous hardware?

Drawing on dstack’s approach to natively supporting and extending Kubernetes, we’ll examine modern training and inference from two perspectives: cloud tenants running AI workloads and data center operators providing the infrastructure.
