OAuth2 and OIDC Demystified: How it actually works in 100 lines of code

    in-person

OAuth2 and OIDC are foundational to modern platforms, yet they’re still widely misunderstood. OAuth2 is not authentication. OIDC is not “just OAuth with user info.” And most explanations make things worse.

This talk rebuilds the concepts from the groundup. We’ll cover flows, tokens, and trust boundaries, then map that understanding to live-coding a minimal OAuth2 Proxy in 100 lines of Go. If you’ve ever configured auth in Kubernetes, fronted an app with a proxy, or wondered what’s really happening during “Login with X,” this talk is for you.

One Platform, Many Teams: Driving Kubernetes Adoption Across E.ON

    in-person

In this talk, I will share how E.ON is enabling internal teams & subsidiaries to accelerate their cloud-native journey through a centralised Managed Container Platform built on Azure Kubernetes Service.

I will walk through E.ON K8s platform architecture & how we combine platform services, security & enterprise integrations into a cohesive, developer friendly platform.

The session will highlight real world challenges such as multi-team onboarding, governance, and balancing developer autonomy with enterprise standards.

The Golden Path to DevX: Unlocking Productivity and Secure Supply Chains with the enteprise-ready IDP

    in-person

Is your team bogged down by slow onboarding, fragmented tools, and high cognitive load? In the era of microservice sprawl, the solution isn’t building more custom toolchains, but it’s delivering a unified experience. This session explores the transformative power of Platform Engineering through the lens of an enterprise-grade Internal Developer Portal (IDP) from Red Hat. Using the open-source Backstage framework as a foundation, we will reveal how to implement "Golden Paths" and self-service templates that drastically improve developer experience and standardize software delivery. We’ll demonstrate how the enterprise-ready IDP seamlessly integrates with the modern cloud-native stack (including Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD) to embed secure-by-default supply chain practices into the first line of code. Attendees will learn how to leverage Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs) and automated auditing to balance developer autonomy with enterprise governance. With 94% of organizations reporting successful platform adoption, discover the strategic blueprint for high-velocity, secure software delivery that scales.
