CoHDI (コーディ) Japanは、CNCFの日本チャプターであるCloud Native Community JapanのSIGとして、2025年に発足した日本国内におけるComposable Disaggregated Infrastructure (CDI)に関連したコミュニティです。

今回はこのコミュニティ初のイベントとしてミートアップを開催します。

• CoHDIの概要や最新動向を知りたい方
• Kubernetesと次世代サーバインフラに関心のある方
• 開発者・利用者同士で情報交換したい方

にとって、学びと交流の場となるイベントです。ぜひお気軽にご参加ください。

📍 背景

近年、AIワークロードの増加により、サーバインフラにはこれまで以上の柔軟性と拡張性が求められています。

CPU中心のCOTSサーバを前提とした従来のクラウドインフラだけではなく、GPUなどのアクセラレータベースの新しいインフラアーキテクチャへの移行が進むと想定されます。

Composable Disaggregated Infrastructure（CDI）は、CPU・GPU・メモリ・NICといったハードウェアリソースをソフトウェアで分解・再構成し、ワークロードの要件に応じた最適なサーバ構成を実現する次世代のサーバアーキテクチャです。

📍 CoHDIとは

CoHDIとは、このCDIを、コンテナ基盤(Kubernetes)から扱えるようにするためのオープンソースソフトウェアです。

Kubernetesはこれまで、従来の固定構成のサーバを前提として進化してきましたが、今後は、増加していくAIワークロードの実行基盤として、GPUなどのアクセラレータを動的に構成変更できるインフラをクラウドネイティブに扱う仕組みが不可欠になります。

CoHDIは、KubernetesとCDIをシームレスにつなぐ役割を担い、AI時代のインフラをクラウドネイティブに活用するための仕組みを提供します。

CoHDI Japanは、CNCFの日本チャプターであるCloud Native Community JapanのSIGとして、2025年に発足した日本国内におけるCDIに関連したコミュニティです。次世代のサーバインフラストラクチャであるCDIの認知度向上、普及を目的に、ベンダーニュートラルな立場で自由に議論できるコミュニティを目指しています。

主に以下のようなトピックスにフォーカスしています。

• CoHDI/CDIに関する技術議論
• CoHDI/CDI活用に関するユースケース議論

Announcement: CoHDI Japan Meetup #1

CoHDI Japan is a community in Japan focused on Composable Disaggregated Infrastructure (CDI). It was established in 2025 as a Special Interest Group (SIG) of Cloud Native Community Japan, the Japanese chapter of CNCF. We are pleased to announce our first-ever meetup for the CoHDI community.

This event is a great opportunity for those who:

• Want to learn about CoHDI and the latest trends around CDI
• Are interested in Kubernetes and next-generation server infrastructure
• Wish to exchange ideas and experiences with developers and users

It will be a place for both learning and networking.

We warmly welcome your participation.

📍 Background

In recent years, the rapid growth of AI workloads has driven the need for greater flexibility and scalability in server infrastructure.

Infrastructure architectures are expected to evolve beyond traditional cloud systems based on CPU-centric COTS servers, toward new architectures that leverage accelerators such as GPUs.

Composable Disaggregated Infrastructure (CDI) is a next-generation server architecture that disaggregates hardware resources—such as CPUs, GPUs, memory, and NICs—and recomposes them through software to create optimal server configurations tailored to workload requirements.

📍 What is CoHDI ?

CoHDI is open source software designed to enable CDI to be managed and utilized from container platforms such as Kubernetes.

While Kubernetes has evolved on the assumption of fixed server configurations, the growing demand for AI workloads requires cloud-native mechanisms to dynamically configure and manage accelerator-based infrastructure, including GPUs.

CoHDI bridges Kubernetes and CDI seamlessly, providing a cloud-native foundation for infrastructure in the AI era.

CoHDI Japan is a CDI-focused community in Japan, founded in 2025 as a SIG of Cloud Native Community Japan, the Japanese chapter of CNCF.

With the goal of raising awareness and promoting adoption of CDI as a next-generation server infrastructure, CoHDI Japan aims to be a vendor-neutral community where open and free discussions can take place.

The community mainly focuses on the following topics:
