Talks
Our first talk by Peri M, Principal Software Quality Engineer at Red Hat and contributor to multiple open-source initiatives in the Telco and Kubernetes ecosystem. This talk introduces an event-driven diagnostic operator for Kubernetes and OpenShift. Inspired by real-world outage scenarios where critical logs vanish before analysis can begin, Peri presents a "black box" approach to incident response. The system continuously monitors cluster events and automatically captures diagnostics the moment anomalies occur, storing them safely for later investigation. The session explores how event-driven automation strengthens observability, reduces mean time to resolution, and ensures that even the most elusive failures leave behind actionable evidence.
Our second talk by Devan Nair, Ericsson will guide us through Telco networking. Envoy is ubiquitous in modern 5G Core Networks. Used by multiple vendors, Envoy provides the backbone of Core Network Signalling, transforming the traditional opaque telco ecosystem into the modular and dynamic cloud native environments we see now. We explore some of the high level design and applications that makes Envoy such a suitable candidate for being the network's middleman for intelligent routing policies, traffic characteristics and observability.
Venue Information
Food and drinks will graciously be provided by our amazing host onOffice. We are looking forward to meeting everyone in person again, see you in July.
Please be aware that at the location you will first need to drop by the welcome desk and pick up a personalised visitor badge. For that purpose, we REQUIRE attendees to register through this event page and will share attendee names to prepare said visitor badges. No other personal information other than your name will be shared.
Travel
The venue is at Charlottenburger Allee 5, 52068 Aachen. Entrance is on the right side of the building. To reach by public transport, we recommend taking lines 2 or 23 from Aachen Hbf, with returning options at the end of the event.

Event-Driven Diagnostics for Kubernetes & OpenShift
in-personProduction incidents can happen unexpectedly, and valuable debugging information is often lost before anyone can investigate. In this session, Peri M, Principal Software Quality Engineer at Red Hat, introduces an event-driven diagnostic operator for Kubernetes and OpenShift that acts like a black box for your cluster. Learn how automatically capturing diagnostics when anomalies occur helps preserve critical information, improve observability, and speed up incident investigation.
