About this event

HashiCorp products integrate well and fit nicely into a k8s system because they provide new ways to handle cluster provisioning and configuration, secrets management, service discovery, service mesh and more! Learn about how Terraform, Vault, and Consul fit into the picture.

Terraform allows infrastructure to be expressed as code. The desired state is expressed in a simple human readable language. Terraform uses this language to provide an execution plan of changes, which can be reviewed for safety and then applied to make changes. Extensible providers allow Terraform to manage a broad range of resources, including hardware, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services

Vault tightly controls access to secrets and encryption keys by authenticating against trusted sources of identity such as Active Directory, LDAP, Kubernetes, CloudFoundry, and cloud platforms. Vault enables fine grained authorization of which users and applications are permitted access to secrets and keys

Consul provides the control plane for multi-cloud networking.
