Introducing Crossplane and Kubernetes Servicebinding Specification with Spring Cloud Bindings
Join us for not one, but two exciting talks about leading CNCF projects, Crossplane and Kubernetes. Participants will take away a complete understanding of how to get up and running with a fully-integrated environment using Spring Cloud, Crossplane and Kubernetes through hands-on demonstrations and tutorials.
The first session with David "Murph" Murphy, from project creators Upbound, will explore how to get started with Crossplane, its fundamentals, and how to encapsulate policies, permissions, and other guardrails behind a custom API line that enables your customers to self-service without needing to become an infrastructure expert.
The second session with Jeffrey Ellin, Staff Solutions Engineer at VMWare Tanzu, will provide a useful introduction to the Kubernetes Service Binding specification, which allows applications running on Kubernetes to bind to external services and consume their credentials and configuration seamlessly.
To wrap things up, we'll tie together concepts from both sessions and demonstrate the integration with Spring Cloud, Crossplane, and Kubernetes.
Join us afterwards for food, refreshments and time to socialize with your local colleagues.
It's a wrap!

Introduction to Crossplane
in-personCrossplane is a CNCF project built on the foundation of Kubernetes to orchestrate anything. Encapsulate policies, permissions, and other guardrails behind a custom API line to enable your customers to self-service without needing to become an infrastructure expert.
In this talk we will discuss:
- Crossplane project history and roadmap
- Crossplane fundamentals
- Providers and Managed Resources
- Compositions and Composite Resources
- Crossplane's Role in the Cloud-Native Ecosystem
- How to get started

Kubernetes Service Binding Specification
in-personAn introduction to the Kubernetes Service Binding specification, which allows applications running on Kubernetes to bind to external services and consume their credentials and configuration seamlessly.
In this talk we will discuss:
- Use Cases and Benefits of Service Binding
- An overview of the Spring Cloud Bindings project, which facilitates the integration of Spring Cloud applications with Kubernetes and external services using the Kubernetes Service Binding specification.
- Demonstrating Integration with Spring Cloud, Crossplane and Kubernetes
