About this event

Welcome to the first San Francisco CNCF meetup of 2026. Here's what we have lined up:

Lakmal Warusawithana: Building AI-Native, Kubernetes-First Platforms for PEs, SREs, and Developers

We’ll introduce OpenChoreo, a CNCF Sandbox project and Kubernetes-native internal developer platform designed to be defined and operated by Platform Engineers. Platform teams work directly with Kubernetes primitives, while exposing higher-level abstractions that hide complexity from developers. Kubernetes remains the system of record, with native resources staying visible and observable for SRE teams.
I’ll present a live demo showing a Backstage-based developer portal, OpenChoreo’s modular architecture, and AI-assisted workflows, including an SRE agent for incident triage and root-cause analysis using live telemetry.

Giorgi Keratishvili: CNCF Certifications

Giorgi is a seasoned IT professional with over a decade of experience spanning both Development and Operations. His expertise covers a wide range from baremetal infrastructure to advanced automation of cloud, Agile transformations, container orchestration, Platform Engineering, SRE, Incident Management, and Cloud Native maturity.

Giorgi is also a Golden Kubestranaut and will discuss his experience with certifications.

We will also include some words from our amazing hosts, GitHub. We look so forward to seeing you in March!
