About this event

Hi there,

This recurring community session advances CNCF platform engineering initiatives through structured updates, guest lightning talks (5-10 mins), and collaborative planning on reference architectures, playbooks, and docs. Drawing from our biweekly tradition, we review progress on GitHub working groups, gather feedback on proposals, and align on ecosystem contributions - all in a vendor-neutral space.

  • Format: 60 minutes with 1-2 short talks, initiative deep-dives, and action items.

  • Ideal for: Contributors, maintainers, and leaders shaping community outputs.

  • Meeting Agenda: Shared Document

We're glad to have Turja Narayan Chaudhuri share his learnings around leading platform teams in our community call.

Why Platform Leadership is hard : Learnings from the trenches

Platform leadership is often underestimated, yet it is the cornerstone of successful platform initiatives. In this session, we share hard-earned lessons from the trenches on why leadership matters more than technology alone. Explore how strong platform leadership drives clarity of vision, fosters collaboration across teams, and ensures alignment with business goals. Learn practical strategies for influencing stakeholders, managing organizational change, and building a culture that embraces platform thinking. Whether you’re leading a team or shaping strategy, this talk will equip you with insights to lead platforms that scale and deliver lasting impact.
