KCD Organizer Interest Group: Registration Precautions

This meeting is set at a time more conducive to the Asia Pacific and Oceania time zones

In this interest group, we will address a matter that has arose, and want to prevent with future KCDs. The topic is surrounding OFAC regulations (Office of Foreign Assets Control). We will discuss the implications of US sanctions on CNCF-supported events, as the CNCF is a US-based entity, and therefore, its community-led events must comply with US sanctions, which include restrictions on individuals and entities from certain countries.

Organizers will be urged to do their due diligence in monitoring registrations. Rest-assured, the CNCF is working on implementing necessary measures to ensure compliance while minimizing negative impacts. Please bring your important questions to this call.
