About this event

The meet-up is open for ideas from people that actively work with grid simulation and modelling and deal with various standards (CIM, Sienna, ESDL etc.).

The goal:

  • prevent duplications of efforts (on datamodels, converters, mappings)
  • get detailed insights into other standards/datamodels and how/where/by whom they are applied.
  • assess the difficulty of adopting to a different standard
  • assess possibilities of convergence and conversions

If you have a suggestion about the topics you'd like to discuss during this meet-up (not covered in the idea below), let us know!

The idea is to look into several standards in detail, discuss their sweet spots and white spots. We'll build on existing initiatives such as the overview created by GPS-T: https://github.com/G-PST/data-schema-exercise/blob/main/data_schemas/saint_data_model.yaml. We ask participants up-front to register and present a datamodel. In the second half we'll discuss gaps, mapping challenges and existing converters, to end up with new ideas about compatibility, convergence and conversions.
