Cloud Native Surat Kickoff: Containers, APIs and Infrastructure with SQL
Welcome to the first meetup of Cloud Native Surat—a community for developers, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, students, and technology enthusiasts interested in cloud-native technologies.
We will begin with an introduction by Rahul Ladumor, who will share the vision, goals, organizers, and upcoming plans for Cloud Native Surat.
Rahul will then present “Cloud Native 101: Containers, Kubernetes and API-Driven Infrastructure.” This beginner-friendly session will explain the fundamentals of containers, Kubernetes, declarative infrastructure, APIs, automation, and observability—and how these components work together in modern cloud-native systems.
In the practical session, Nirmal Chhodvadiya will present “Auditing Three Clouds Without Writing Three Scripts.”
Managing infrastructure across multiple cloud providers often requires different consoles, CLIs, authentication methods, and scripts. Through a live demonstration, Nirmal will show how StackQL can query live cloud APIs and normalize storage-security information from AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure into one consistent table.
The demonstration will cover:
- Running StackQL using Docker
- Connecting securely to one or more cloud providers
- Auditing S3 buckets, Google Cloud Storage buckets, and Azure Storage Accounts
- Comparing public access, encryption, and HTTPS enforcement
- Receiving normalized results through a single multi-cloud workflow
- Exploring how the same audit can later be integrated into CI/CD pipelines
Whether you are beginning your cloud-native journey or already working with cloud infrastructure, this meetup will offer practical knowledge, live demonstrations, community discussions, and networking opportunities.
